If you want to transfer US dollars via HSBC Direct, you need to set up US designated accounts first. Please download the "USD Designated Account Application From" to set up designated accounts.
If you did not sign up Internet Banking Pre-defined Account Service Agreement : Please bring with your ID documents (Personal ID or driver's license) and make sure that your signature / chop matches your signature / chop specimen appearing on HSBC Direct General Agreement visit HSBC branch during business hours. Fill in the "Set up USD Designated Accounts Form".
If you already sign up Internet Banking Pre-defined Account Service Agreement : Fill in the "Set up USD Designated Accounts Form" download from HSBC Direct website and then mail it to us at "HSBC Direct, P.O. Box 167-2617, Taipei" please make sure that your signature / chop matches your signature / chop specimen appearing on HSBC Direct General Agreement.

The service charge will be deducted directly from the amount that you transfer out. ( The amount of remittance should be exceed service charge ) Due to the USD fund transfer to other domestic or overseas banks has to be processed by a third-party correspondent bank,an extra handling fee of USD 25~35* per transaction will be charged by the third-party correspondent bank. In addition, overseas handing fee charged by the beneficiary bank and other third party correspondent banks (if there is any) will also be deducted from your transferring funds. In this case, the remittance beneficiary will receive less amount than you transfer out.
*For reference only, actual fee will be charged by the third party correspondent bank based on each transactions.

When you are in the middle of Internet banking process but encounter a PC crash down or Internet disconnection, please reboot your PC and re-connect to the Internet. Then re-log into HSBC Direct and check your account details. If the transaction is occurred on the list, you have successfully completed the transfer process. You can also call HSBC Direct call center at 02-8073-3101, and an HSBC Direct banking specialist will assist you.
The total maximum amount of US dollars transferring to HSBC USD accounts or to HSBC Direct USD designated accounts via HSBC Direct call center is TWD 5 million per day.
Please note: HSBC Direct account daily transaction limit is up to a total amount of TWD 25 million per day through HSBC Direct website or HSBC Direct call center. If you are the existing HSBC customer, the inter-bank transfer from HSBC Direct TWD savings account or foreign exchange will be calculated together.
There is no limit for the number of transactions you can make in a day.
If a transfer is made during the bank’s business hours ( 9 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday ), then it will be processed on the same day. If a transfer is made after the business hours or on a non-working day, the transaction will be processed on the next working day.
If all the information you provide about the USD designated account and the remittance is correct, it takes around 2 to 3 working days for the funds to be transferred into your USD designated account. However, if there is no direct remittance agreement between the beneficiary bank and HSBC, additional working days may be needed for the funds to be transferred through a correspondent bank.
No. After you confirm, the transactions can not be changed or canceled. During the process, HSBC Direct will ask you to carefully review the details and confirm before processing the transactions.
